InfoMart Goes Green for Earth Day 2008
Marietta, GA (April 18, 2008) - InfoMart is proud to be a Green Sponsor for Earth Share of Georgia's Earth Day Leadership Breakfast this morning. Business and non-profit leaders from metro-Atlanta are gathering to celebrate innovations in sustainable business practices at the TWELVE Hotel at Atlantic Station. Jim Kennedy, chairman and chief executive officer of Cox Enterprises, will be the keynote speaker. This is the first year InfoMart has sponsored the Earth Day Leadership Breakfast. "InfoMart has always tried to incorporate sustainable business practices into our company, but this year our employees have been encouraging us to 'go green' like never before," said Tammy Cohen, InfoMart's president and chair. "We are excited to have the opportunity to share in the success of an organization such as Earth Share of Georgia." In addition to the Leadership Breakfast, InfoMart will be represented in Earth Share's Corporate Green Day Challenge. Over 20 InfoMart employees will be putting on their work boots and garden gloves to clean up Oakhurst Community Garden on Saturday, April 26 from 9:00am-noon. On Earth Day, InfoMart employees will sign a company-wide Contract with the Earth, pledging to reduce, reuse and recycle in the office and beyond. Commitments in the pledge include "recycle ink and toner cartridges," "print pages double-sided when possible" and "travel only when necessary - utilize web-based training and conference calls to save energy."
